Creamy goodness for your curls!
Review by Cynthia A. on 10 Mar 2020 review stating Creamy goodness for your curls!
I have tried many curl defining creams, as my curls don't like when I simply apply gel or any holding product without something that adds moisture. This product is the best I've tried!

Not enough definition
Review by Alexis on 23 Feb 2020 review stating Not enough definition
I have 3b/c curly hair and I've been using a different brand of gel for years, but I tried to switch to this in the hopes of having less crunch to my hair and I figured the gel was probably drying out my hair. I tried using just the styling cream and then blow drying my hair and it came out amazingly soft, but just not the definition I'm used to in my curls. They were a bit too frizzy still for my taste, so I added some of the deva curl gel over it and that did help with the frizziness but it was just not the definition I was hoping for. I may still try the super cream and see how that goes, but I have not been very impressed with the products considering the price.

Ruined my hair
Review by Keesha on 22 Feb 2020 review stating Ruined my hair
I started using DevaCurl products in 2017. At first, my curls looked great. So when I started noticing my hair becoming very dry in 2018, it didn't occur to me that the DevaCurl products were the culprit. Next issue I noticed was the loss of my curl pattern. My curls got more and more loose and some pieces were even straight. Then I started to notice a lot of hair loss in the shower. Next thing I knew, my hair was so thin and stringy in the back that it was see through. After years of trying to grow my hair out, I was forced to cut several inches off my hair because it had gotten so thin. I was devasted. I went to the doctor thinking it was some sort of hormone imbalance or health issue causing this extreme hair loss. But my exams and blood tests came back fine. Then in 2019, I started seeing social media posts about DevaCurl causing dry brittle hair and hair loss and it all clicked. I stopped using all DevaCurl products several months ago and my hair is finally getting back to normal. It's curly again and the extreme hair loss has stopped. Of course it will take years for my hair to grow back after how much I lost.

Response from DevaCurl
Hi, as with any cosmetic or personal care product, if you have a negative experience (such as itchy scalp) that you think may be related to use of DevaCurl products, you should immediately stop using the product. If you experience hair loss, you should contact your healthcare provider or dermatologist. You can learn more about the safety of our products at

Styling Cream
Review by Kathy I. on 12 Feb 2020 review stating Styling Cream
A little goes a long way!!! I use the styling cream several days after a wash, on wet hair. Mostly on the ends, that seem to dry out. Don't put too much on, or it will weigh your hair down. I use about a pea to dime size dollop. :)
