DevaCurl started in New York City in 1994 and is still headquartered there today. All of our products, other than our tools and accessories, are formulated and manufactured in the USA. Our DevaDryer, DevaFuser and DevaTowel are manufactured in China.
DevaCurl products can be purchased in person at our Devachan salon in New York City at 425 Broome St in Soho.

We are unable to cancel or modify an order after it has been submitted since we aim to process all orders as soon as possible. For urgent requests please contact us as soon as possible at customercare@devacurl.com.
Yes, sales tax is applied to orders according to the products purchased and the sales tax laws required by the state in the shipping address.
DevaCurl does not currently sell gift cards online. Stay tuned - we’re working on getting these setup!
We do offer gift cards for salon services.
If your payment has been declined, please verify that the billing address matches the address on record with your issuing bank.
Please take note of any error messages that appeared on the checkout page when your payment was declined and contact our customer care team via Live Chat or email customercare@devacurl.com.
Order confirmation emails are sent out within 30 minutes of order receipt in our systems. Please check your spam/junk folders.

afterpay
Installments by Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four equal payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.
Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments by Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy!
Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments by Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount of $35 applies and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.
Installments by Afterpay can only be applied to purchases made on devacurl.com website.
Installments by Afterpay is only available to customers with a US billing address within the US and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay.
All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account.
You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

Afterpay orders are delivered as per our standard shipping timeframe after you complete your order online.
If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase (if eligible) by mail for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets our Return policy. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay.

Currently, Devacurl.com ships Domestically, servicing: US, CA and PR.
Shipping Exceptions apply for Expedited Orders, US Non-Contiguous Orders, CA & PR orders that contain Aerosols.
Generally, our shipping facility cut-off is 1:00PM EST/EDT, orders placed prior will be processed same-day Monday thru Friday.
Orders after 1:00PM EST pickup will be processed the next business day.
Please note that we are experiencing delays and order processing time may take 5-6 days before shipment.
You can track your order by logging into your account and clicking on the ‘Order History’ link. Then click the order number of the order you would like to track. There will be a ‘Track Order’ link that appears above the list of purchased products that will open a new window with the shipment tracking details.

PO, APO, FPO, DPO’s – We cannot ship to PO Boxes via FedEx and will need to adjust shipping to USPS at the shipping facility. Due to regulation/restrictions, we are unable to ship Aerosols to APO, FPO and DPO locations.

We do not advise the shipping of products to none permanent addresses (hotels, vacation homes etc.) and cannot be held responsible for packages that are misplaced at a destination where you (the purchaser) are not responsible for the acceptance of delivery. If you do choose to have packages delivered to hotels etc. please ensure that the location is aware of the package arrival ahead of time.

To return items to DevaCurl, please follow these three easy steps:
(1) Please contact DevaCurl Customer Care via email at customercare@devacurl.com. Please have the information about where and when you purchased your product available. If you have purchased your product at DevaCurl.com please visit our Returns Center.
(2) If your return request is approved, you will receive a return authorization e-mail. Pack and seal your return merchandise securely in the original package, if possible. Otherwise, please pack your return in a well-padded envelope or box to prevent damage during shipment. In either case, please include a copy of your return authorization e-mail in your package.
If you choose to get a merchandise credit, return shipping is free if your delivery address is in the contiguous United States. If your delivery address is in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or Canada or if you request a refund you are responsible for all return mailing and shipping costs.

We advise sending your package using a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance. DevaCurl is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

- Products that are purchased from DevaCurl.com using a “FINAL SALE PROMOTION” are not eligible for the Satisfaction Guarantee or other product exchange.
- If you are returning an item you purchased from DevaCurl.com that qualified for a Gift with Purchase or as part of a Buy 2 Get 1 Free Offer, please include the bonus gift with your return. If you choose to keep the bonus gift, your account will be charged for its value.
- The Guarantee is limited to the original, end-user purchaser.
- DevaCurl reserves the right to verify information, require a valid proof of purchase, and to deny guarantee requests in its discretion if a customer is abusing the Satisfaction Guarantee, including if a customer returns heavily used products.
- If we have questions about your return, we will contact you by phone or email.
- Returned merchandise that does not meet the conditions of the Satisfaction Guarantee will be declined and sent back.
- Any issued merchandise credits can only be used at DevaCurl.com and have no expiration date. Merchandise credits cannot be returned or redeemed for cash (unless otherwise required by applicable law), transferred to others, reloaded or sold. No fees apply. Merchandise credits will not be replaced or replenished if lost, stolen or used without authorization.

It’s in the best interest of curls. These ingredients can be harsh on curls, stripping their natural oils, blocking moisture, or causing buildup that can weigh them down.
All of our products are designed to be nourishing and hydrating for every curl type, and are focused on sourcing high quality, good for curls ingredients. In addition to SLS/SLES sulfates, parabens, and or silicones, we DO NOT formulate our products with the following ingredients:
Phthalates, gluten, Coal Tar Dyes, peanut-derived ingredients, Formaldehyde, MIT, paraffin, petrolatum or mineral oil, DEA or TEA, Triclosan, Benzophenone, Dihydroxybenzophenone, Ethylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Nonolynol, Octoxynol or derivatives, 3-Benzylidene camphor, Talc, Ethyl acrylate, Ethyl methacrylate, Methyl methacrylate, Butyl methacrylate, Hydroxypropyl methacrylate, Tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate, Trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate, Aluminum Salts, Benzophenone, Butoxyethanol, Carbon Black Lead, Lead Acetate, Methyl Cellosolve, Methoxyethanol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Mercury or Mercury Compounds (Thimerosal), Insoluble Plastic Microbeads, Resorcinol, Toluene, BHA, ETA, Nanoparticles, Polyacrylamide, Acrylamide, or Styrenes.
Yes. Even though some of our products contain wheat-derived ingredients, they have been processed to remove gluten. All of our products have been lab tested and verified to be gluten-free.
Fear not, animal lovers, all DevaCurl products are totally cruelty-free. That means we don’t test any of our products or ingredients on animals (even though, man, we’d pay money to see what a crazy-talented stylist could do with a poodle’s curls). And BTW, any animal-sourced ingredient, say, the beeswax in Set It Free, is produced in a way that doesn’t harm the little critters.
No-Poo = No Lather! This means that the sodium lauryl sulfate was removed from the shampoo. Years ago stylists discovered that sodium lauryl sulfate was super-harsh and that bubbles did not = clean.
DevaCurl created a botanically-infused cleanser with a specific pH level that could cleanse the scalp without stripping follicles. The result was the world’s first conditioning cleanser or No-Poo Original.

As our products are formulated with natural extracts and oils, it is normal over time that there may be a change in some formulas’ color or thickness. This change is a natural process and does not impact product quality, safety, or efficacy in any way.
These sulfate-free formulas will produce little to no lather. You will need to use your fingertips to work the formula on your scalp—scrub it in and scrub it out while rinsing. Your hair will also not have a squeaky-clean feeling – which is perfect for curls because it means they are moisturized.
