How Devachan Salon Is Committed to Keeping You Healthy

After a long 3 ½ months of being closed, Devachan Salons are ready to reopen! We have missed you all so much and can’t wait to welcome you back and give your curls all the TLC they need.

As COVID-19 has had an unprecedented impact on all of us, we want to assure you that we take your health and safety very seriously. While we were closed, we were busy preparing the salon with new safety, hygiene, and distancing measures. And although things may look a bit different on your next visit, making your experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible is what we’re all about!

New health and safety measures

Devachan Salons have new disinfecting practices including electrostatic spraying and rigorous deep cleaning of the salon and HVAC systems. Everything we touch will be wiped down after every guest and there will be more frequent cleaning of high-touch common area surfaces. 

And of course we will be practicing social distancing—or what we like to call “Deva distancing.” Like your favorite restaurant or shop, Devachan Salon will be limiting the number of people in the salon. We will also be limiting the number of stylist stations in use and adding partitions between the sink beds for added safety. 

All our Deva team members will be wearing face coverings while with guests, as well as washing their hands before and after every service. We will also be screening team members and guests prior to every shift and appointment. 

What to expect

We will no longer have a waiting room available, so a new virtual check-in process has been put in place. When you are near the salon for your appointment, follow the text instructions you received to text the salon about your arrival. We will text you back when we are ready to welcome you inside.

Once inside, you’ll stop by our Safety Station for hand sanitizer and a mask to wear during your appointment. There are also gloves available which are optional to use.

How to make an appointment 

To make sure we limit the number of people in the salon, services will be by appointment only, so no walk-ins at this time. We will also allow only one guest per appointment. Appointments are filling up fast so we ask that you email curlconcierge@devacurl.com to be placed on the appointment waitlist.

We kindly ask that you do not make an appointment or please reschedule your appointment if: 

  • You have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days
  • You have been advised by a healthcare provider to self-quarantine due to COVID-19 concerns within the past 14 days
  • You traveled domestically or internationally within the past 14 days
  • You have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days
  • You have been in contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days

Tips to stay safe

We suggest that you limit the amount of personal belongings you bring with you to the salon. We are also only accepting cashless payments at this time so you can tap or swipe and go! If you’re looking to get in and out of the salon quickly, we suggest that you skip the sink and schedule a DevaCut without the Transformation Service. We’ll cut your hair dry and refresh your set in the chair. And if you schedule a Deva Transformation Service, you may want to take advantage of the beautiful NYC weather and skip the dryer and let your hair dry naturally!
