Surprisingly great for dry, damaged hair!
Review by Beth R. on 18 Dec 2020 review stating Surprisingly great for dry, damaged hair!
Because my hair has always been dry, I was afraid to try a product called Buildup Buster--sounded like it would strip what little moisture my hair does have. I'm SO glad I tried it though! I use it once a month and my waves are shiny and bouncy. I've heard the talk about people's hair being damaged by various Deva Curl products, but I have to wonder if maybe they're not getting buildup out occasionally. If anyone's hair was going to start falling out, it's mine and my hair has quite literally NEVER been in better condition.

Buildup buster is really helpful for removing buildup of products, especially at the crown of my head. It helps me to feel so much cleaner after shampooing and also to help with detangling.

It doesn't do much
Review by Alexandra on 13 May 2020 review stating It doesn't do much
I use this whenever I feel like I have build up because I have the bottle and always hope "maybe this time it'll work." Honestly is works about as well as when I take the time to scrub my scalp for a long time. My scalp is still dry as hell, and flakey. Plus it doesn't improve shine further than my regular no-poo and original conditioner routine.
