After 42 years, countless stylists and untold numbers of products, I thought I knew all the tips and tricks about my curly hair. I thought my curls were as good as they were going to get at 42 YO. I found Susie after my worst hair cut in my life. It was really bad, I locked myself in the bathroom. Then a friend told me about Susie. She taught me how to have Botecelli curls if I wanted. I knew my hair could keep a curl, but this was a totally different level. She is also an excellent colorist. My hair looks vibrant and alive thanks to Susie. PS There’s a lot of parking at salon which is peaceful & restorative.

If you have curly hair, Susie Swaner is your girl! I’m a white woman with shoulder length curly hair. It’s not the type that dries into perfect little ringlets, it’s the frizzy kind of hair that puffs out when it gets humid outside. Well, at least that’s what I thought until I saw Susie. She taught me not to use towels on my hair but tee shirt type cotton to reduce frizz, she showed me the correct products to use, and she tells me how to handle the curls once I wash my hair. It’s a lifestyle change, but my hair looks fabulous curly thanks to Susie. She cuts your hair to fit your face, and if you think you look good with bangs and she doesn’t,; she’s not afraid to say so. Some hairdressers will do anything to get your money. Not Susie!
