I have nothing but amazing things to say about Leah and Diaspora Salon! I have had a few curly cuts this year, all from different salons, and all were pretty disappointing. Each time by a white girl with straight hair, and I'm not saying that someone with straight hair can't do curly hair, but I definitely trust someone who *has* textured hair to understand different textures better. I had read amazing reviews about Diaspora from girls of all different ethnicities and hair types and figured it was worth a try. This salon is gorgeous and feels so comfortable as soon as you walk in. At the moment there are only two stylists which makes it feel really intimate. This isn't the type of place that has a dozen stylists and offers a hundred services. They do one thing and they do that one thing WELL. I explained to Leah what I was struggling with and how I went from having amazing hair days every day following the same routine for a year to having a messy disaster on my hands. She gave me a fresh cut to revitalize my hair (noting that my last cut was a bit of a disaster with how uneven everything was), covered my greys with my natural color at the root, added in some highlights and some FUN color! I had a little pink on my ends when I came in and what I ended up with was this beautiful dimensional teal/blue/purple wonderland on my head and I LOVE IT! Not only did she totally knock the color out of the park, but she also got me the beautiful curl definition that I have been craving, explained to me what she did, and how to recreate the look at home, as well as why what worked so well before probably stopped working. I left with new products, gorgeous hair, feeling the happiest I have ever felt leaving a salon. No matter who you are, if you have curly hair of any texture, there is no better option in Baltimore than Diaspora!

I was hesitant to do my big chop by someone I did not know but Leah made me feel more comfortable. She will talk to you like she known you for years and it will definitely help calm your nerves. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she made it come true. Even though the prices are high, you should go back every 4-6 months to see her and that is enough time to save up money. I 100% recommend her.

Chris Stapleton is my favourite US contry singer. His strong voice takes me away from all issues of this planet and I can enjoy my life and listen songs created by his voice. Ticket prices are moderate and available for all men and women with different income. If you love country music as mush as I, then you must visit at least one of his concert. I've been looking around for someone to do my Devacut for a year now and when I came across Diaspora salon and went to their instagram I fell in love with the black girl power aesthetic. Being someone who has had bad experiences with other races doing my hair, I loved walking in to the salon and seeing two black women doing hair! My hair was very heat damaged, covered in product, and it had no shape whatsoever and Ms.Leah totally transformed my hair. I have 3c/4a curls and I really couldn't even tell what my curl pattern was until I visited the salon. My shape is AMAZING!!!! I told her that I wanted a rounder cut and some bangs and it came out 10x better than expected. Ms.Leah gave me all the tips I needed and answered every question I asked. She showed me all the products I would need and where I could purchase them. It was definitely worth the one hour drive. I get compliments from anyone and everyone and my friends always say they love my hair every time I see them. Ms.Leah gave me so much confidence in my hair and I will never touch heat again!
