I am recently embracing my naturally curly hair and was a little nervous about getting a curly haircut. I've Emily did a fantastic job and showed me how to style my hair so it looks great. This was the first time I've left a salon and actually liked how my hair was styled. I will definitely be going back for future haircuts and will be recommending her services to all my friends who have curly hair.
I went to emily for a consult after finding out her salon ranks the highest in certified levels for the deva cut! Anywho the consult was AMAZING! She listened to my concerns regarding my hair damage from a domestic violence assult, she assured me of ways to regrow the damaged areas. she also gave tips on what changes to make in my daily hair routine for more defined curls. She looked over my scalp and even pointed out my weaker damaged areas. She made me feel in control of my hair but with her guidance. I trust her knowledge and judgement and will definitely rebook. I set my appointment over a month out from the consult because i had just self trimmed my hair and she suggested giving it a rest first but time went past and i totally forgot when and where my appt was til the night b4 and i had to work so even though ive missed my first ever deva cut i know where im going and i dont even care about paying the cancellation fee because i truly trust emily with my hair ...after going through what i have been through i just dont let anyone near my head. Im super excited to share the future results!

I had a deva cut by Emily, I have had a deva cut before and this one was different, she warned that straightening my hair it would not be perfectly even, which is fine. I did not expect to have one curl way longer than the rest. I waited a couple weeks before writing a review, thinking I was being picky and it would grow on me... it hasn’t, I dislike it more and more. I do not like the straightacross style, I do not like how some strands are noticibly longer, and I paid over $100 for a hair style I don’t want to wear. The before and after pics are cool but you have to remember the before photos are natural and with no gel/cream so of course it is going to look better after. I will get another deva cut, just not here.
