I was kind of relieved to finally have a professional curly stylist in the area and it was okay. However, I could feel and hear her ripping my hair apart because my hair is a kinky texture. I really didn’t like that. I am pretty gentle when separating my hair and I expect for my stylist to do the same. Especially one that specializes in curly hair. Her pictures on IG are excellent and I like her social media presence. Unfortunately, I was a little let down. I probably won’t return, but maybe she was just having an off day. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because she did give me a nice trim.

I really enjoyed having my hair cut and and colored by Charnelle. She is very sweet and knowledgeable. She was honest in her recommendations for my hair and it turned out fabulous. She really takes her time and didn't rush cutting or coloring. I learned a lot about how to care for my curls and will hopefully be able to go back to her for a trim and future color. She is usually booked at least a month in advance which is the only downfall but it was definitely worth the wait.

She was friendly and pleasant. I got a dry cut and it’s holding up. For me personally—I had an issue with being able to communicate what I wanted since I’ve never done something like this before, and it’s always weird when someone tries to tell you what your hair can do when you literally just met them, which wouldn’t be the reason I wouldn’t go back. That being said—I wouldn’t go back due to the price, the availibity of appointments, and the location being a bit of a commute for me. For what it’s worth— it definitely is something you should try at least once!
