I am not sure about other girls with kinky coily hair, but salon experiences have always been dreadful. It was either I had limited option and could only do my hair at Latina salons or choose to get looked at like a science project at a high end salons. Going to Anita hair salon I was quite nervous, but immediately upon meeting Peabo, he assured me that I was in good hands. From the moment I sat in his chair he kept me laughing and smiling from ear to ear. He quickly "diagnosed" me, asked me what type of cut I was looking for and what he could do. During the entire session he educated me about my hair type. He even had me hold up a mirror to see what he was doing. He made me touch my hair so i could learn some of his methods or moisturizing my hair while I was home. I must say this again because he truly made my salon experience an amazing one. I was looking for somewhat of a big chop because some of the ends of my hair are still straight after years of using relaxers and flatirons, but Peabo was also sensitve to the fact that s big haircut might be overwhelming for me. He managed to maintain the length of my hair but giving my hair more a shapely look, and empowered me with a lot of information to manage my hair at home. I recommend seeing this stylist for every kinky coily hair girl who wants to know the experience of feeling beautiful in a high end salon. I am sooo happy with my results, and am glad I encountered him.
