Hair is Art is a salon like I've never experienced. I LOVE my hair - I cannot remember it feeling so soft and shiny! I was kindly welcomed with an aroma therapy sampling which my favorite scent followed me through my conditioning and steam treatments. The aroma made me feel very relaxed and I enjoyed my wash time all the more. The team of assistants are very skilled at what they do, kind to the clients and each other. Ny is very skilled at her craft. Most important to me, she advised as a professional about a flattering hair shape, products and techniques best for my hair, and a recommended hair care routine. I am beyond...and look forward to returning on a regular basis.

My “Deva Cut” was performed on WET hair in under 20 minutes. Ny was nice enough to offer to add the service despite me not booking it due to no availability on Booksy. I appreciated this, but ultimately felt the service I received was much more akin to a trim than a deva cut (on dry hair, w/ emphasis on shape). I would have preferred to return another day. At the time, the shop was very busy so I’m attributing the issue to Ny’s desire to continue servicing other guests. Still, I would return and recommend Ny to all my curly friends looking for long-term stylists, but suggest booking color/deva cuts on different appointments to ensure you feel you receive the full experience for each service (since $80 cuts are an investment).
