Fabulous!!!!

Sandy is the best! I have been searching for a talented hairstylist for a long time. I found New Creations Salon online and booked an appointment for a cut, style and color. I felt like Sandy took the time to listen to what I needed and gave me a true consultation. My hair looks fabulous and I get complimented on it often. I highly recommend this salon!

RUN from Sandy!

I have a regular deva stylist, but a series of unfortunate events led me to Sandy at New Creations. Traveling 2 weeks back to back, (with 2 business days turn around), my stylist booked, left me with a mop and an appointment in June! I was ready to hit Great Clips with my son, but KNEW my curls needed a deva stylist and I was willing to pay whatever cost for whoever I could find that could cut my hair. In comes New Creations. The first clue should have been that they could get me in same day, within 2 hours actually. But I was so excited I left my son on his way to work and made the trek 30 minutes from where I was to Westport (An area of the city I rarely travel) and an hour from my home. I showed Sandy a picture of my hair taken a day or two after the cut I loved. Instead of shaping my hair the way I'd seen my stylist do, she began following my stylist's lines, telling me what a great cut I had been given. She pulled my curls up like every stylist I'd had before deva and told me that she was following her cut. She shampoo'd and used the new build up buster, "even though you didn't have any build up." The water was cool and I was never asked if the temperature was okay. The dryers were being used so she'd "have to" diffuse my hair. In less than 5 minutes a dryer was available and I was moved. Honestly, it felt like I was too much of a bother. My hair wasn't right but I wasn't sure what was off. Except it was still very long on the top and felt heavy. When I left, I thought I could live with it for 3 weeks. I paid my $48 + tip and walked out. The timeline of the calls made tells me I was in the stylists chair for about 30 minutes. As I drove toward my home south of the city by about a hour I disliked my cut more and more, especially considering the price! Let me add here, I am not usually a hair complainer. I can tolerate a bad cut, I know it'll grow out, but this is probably one of two cuts I've ever had that were worse than worse. In fact, before deva, I'd hit the local school and had always been pleased with my student cut. I finally stopped and called the salon asking for at least a partial refund. Their solution? Come back at 4:30 so the stylist could fix it. It was 3 pm. So, I was to hang around the city and drive downtown at 4:30 so I could drive home in rush hour. I was already frazzled because I had taken extra time to drive for the first deva cut. I had things to do at home before I left for my trip. I was sitting in the chair at Great Clips when she called saying her 3pm had cancelled or didn't show I honestly don't remember. The gal tried to fix what Sandy had done. She said it looked like she had just stopped in the middle of the cut and left me half done. When I returned Sandy's call and told her I wasn't making the trip back downtown, said she'd talk to the owner about some kind of a refund and let me know. We'll see what they say. Now, instead of the cute, fun summer cut I had, I have an old lady cut for the bargain price of about $80!!!! Because that's about the best the gal at GC's could do to fix it. Where's my baseball cap?????????

We learned a lot (and look great)

Because I grew up in a dry climate, I didn't even know my hair was wavy, and we just thought my daughter's hair was frizzy, despite her father's very textured hair. Sandy showed us how to care for our hair and make it look great, now my daughter loves her curls!
