Life-long curly hair style gal here. I have been seeing Liv for a year now. Thank God I found her! Color - I had gone from dark brown/black natural hair to blonde. It was a BIG change and I had never attempted it for fear of drying out my curls. But in 2018 I wanted to change it up a bit. Well, I started out my process at another local salon that claimed to be able to work with curly hair, but really didn’t and they did damage. (Being In my mid-30s, this was just life. People not knowing what to do with curly hair. - Pre-Devacurl life was rough!) Liv and I have done two color sessions and my curls are happy and healthy and I have the color! Cut - Liv not only got me the color results I wanted, but gave me a great haircut to lose the damaged curls. It was shorter than I have ever been so I was worried, but she wow’d me! Style - Another test for me is the ability to style my hair. Even years after finding devacurl stylists (I lived in DC, IN, WI as well), they could give me the cut I wanted, but help me if they wanted to wash and style my hair! I would get odd ringlets that weren’t my true curl and just have to go home and fix it. This is not the case with Liv. :) She loves and cares about curly hair and her practice shows it. I had a lot of damage to my wavy hair from heat, cheap hair dye, and just using the wrong products on my hair. I had a consultation with Liv and she educated me on the process to getting my waves back to normal and why. I was so skeptical because I've had no many bad experiences at other salons and trying to get my wavy hair back on my own. Liv completely proved me wrong! She was AMAZING! I was so impressed with the cut, color, and overall hair transformation that she gave me! She took her time to educated me on what products to use and how to wash, condition, apply product, diffuse, you name it! My hair was pretty much dry and straight when I went in the salon, I came out with lustrous wavy hair and amazing volume! She did it all and it was all worth it. I am so grateful that I found her, she literally changed my wavy girl life!
