I've always struggled with my curls. I've tried using different styling products like Shea Moisture and Mixed Chicks and they never worked out for me, so I typically fell back on heat styling my hair. Recently, I ran into a friend of mine with curly hair at a get together and her hair looked AMAZING! She typically wore her hair curly, but this was a completely different look, the definition and volume made it look like she had stepped off of a curly hair brochure. I begged her for her stylist's number and immediately booked with Josefa at Liberty Design. I didn't know what to expect when I walked into the salon, but I was happily surprised to see Josefa's amazing curls that were perfectly formed. I just knew that I was going to be seated in the right place. An hour and a half later, with a deep moisturizing treatment and Deva styling that Josefa walked me through, my hair is healthier than ever and the split ends from all of the heat damage are gone. It's been a few days and I've been able to replicate (more or less!) the styling of my curls using the Deva products I was recommended at the salon. While they seem expensive at the offset, they are totally worth it in the long run, with less product being needed than some others, and just how wonderful my hair looks. Liberty Design Studio is gorgeous as well! It is really a curly friendly salon and they are really well stocked and reflect the curly hair market. I can't wait to see how my hair grows out now that it is healthy and I know how to take care of it, and I have already booked my next appointment for a couple of months from now with Josefa!

I’m not a newby to Deva products, but I just recently had my first DevaCut by Josefa. She’s been cutting my hair for years, with long layers, but I finally took the plunge and had a DevaCut and it has been worth every single penny. I have waist length, 3B/3C curly hair and have always struggled with finding the right cut and products to battle this Florida humidity. While long layers “worked,” there is no comparison to the Deva technique when it comes to the look, definition, and fullness of curly hair, and I cannot personally recommend anyone other than Josefa when it comes to cutting and styling. She's been cutting my hair for years, and I always see Josefa because she is an amazing listener and always makes sure to ask questions about what you are looking for, how you want to style your hair, and how much time you want to spend styling your hair. She herself has very thick curly hair, so she knows from experience what works and what doesn’t. She was also able to help me figure out which combination of Deva products best worked with my texture. Again, I cannot express how amazing my hair has looked since I had my first DevaCut and DevaCurl Transformation with Josefa, and I highly recommend her.
