It saddens me that I can’t give her a 5 star. I was so pumped to get my hair done. I have been waiting to get a deva cut for a year. I have been working on getting more of my curl pattern back and thought now was a good time to get that dream cut and be coached on specifics for taking care of my particular type of curls/waves. I was scheduled for a deva cut/transformation. That is sooooo NOT what I received. No clipping hair at the roots, used super hot air on my hair and scalp. I had to lift the dryer several times because my scalp felt like it was on fire. She “broke the cast” before my hair was fully dry. Didn’t lift my hair at the roots or have me shake my head. She used non curly girly approved products on my hair. I didn’t realize until after she used them or else I would have tried to stop her. So today I got to rewash my hair but with a sulfate shampoo to remove non water soluble silicones. Third time my hair has been cleansed/washed in less than 24 hours. Time for extra love for my locks the next week. I overpaid for basically a normal hair cut/style the only thing that made it a deva cut/transformation is that my hair was dry when she cut it while raking out all of my wave and some of the products were devacurl. My hair was way straighter when I left then when I came in. And it was slicked down to my head. When I woke up today it had just a slight wave almost straight and that never happens on day 2. The deva cut and experience is supposed to enhance your natural curls/waves not take them away. :’(
