I went in first to see Jordan because she is a national educator for DevaCurl, Certified by them, award winning, etc... When I went to the salon, I worked with Jordan but she helped me feel comfortable with every member of the Mint Team. They call themselves the Mint Betties (swoon)!! Jordan has trained each stylist to be at her level, so even though they're categorized by their classes taken with Deva, the owner of the salon is a Deva Educator and has taught them ALL how to work with curls. Even better, my third time I went I was with a different stylist. She was a little confused with the type of bang I wanted and Jordan came over and cut my bangs for me and still kept my rate at the current stylists pricing. They all work with each other, I felt like a super star because I had 5 stylists loving on me the whole time! I have never experienced a salon quite like Mint Salon. I strayed one time and sure there are other curl stylists out here in Rochester and surrounding, but there is nothing like an entire salon that loves and caters to curls. The education is forever advancing with this salon, you can tell. I have been to other stylists (some that used to work at Mint and some that were trained by Jordan) but their salons don't match the support we Curlies are looking for. You can also tell they have been trained once and their education has since stopped. I will never stray from Mint again!! I'm calling myself a Mint Bettie from now on! Love, Mint Bettie Polly

Jordan and her team at Mint Salon are providing the curly haired women of Rochester, NY with a wonderful salon just for us! She is very experienced in how to cut curly hair to bring out the natural curls best. The Deva Curl products she recommend are fabulous. And her personal attention to each customer is unmatched. I was in for my third hair cut in December and she took extra time to walk me through each step of the process again, to make sure I could replicate it at home. With a mirror in hand, I watched exactly what she did to wash, condition, and style my hair. I am so glad to have found Mint Salon!

I found my home. Mint Salon not only has the cutest design, but when you walk in you are greeted with the most secure and happy stylists. I haven't walked into a salon in about 7 years because I was too nervous. But I kept hearing Mint pop into conversations. I even had a young man come up to me in Wegmans and tell me about this curly hair salon he heard of called Mint. Okay, if a young straight hair guy tells me to go see someone in Mint, well... I guess I'm going. I saw Jordan. She. Is. The. Best. Stylist. I. Have. Ever. Had. I could type for days to tell you everything she has done for me. My life is changed. I am confident, I am curly, and thanks to her, I am unstoppable. She helped me emotionally through my "lifestyle change" She even called to check up on me a few days after my appointment. She doesn't do that for all of her clients, but she paid enough attention to me to know I needed a little more support. I will never leave Mint and I will encourage everyone in my life to go to her. Curly or straight, you deserve a stylist that listens to you and actually truly cares about us more than herself. She is selfless and a God given gift to all who walk through her doors.

I have finally found a salon that truly understand how to cut curly hair and not just cut your hair like you're going to blow dry or straighten it every day. I made an appointment with Jordan and even though she squeezed me in, I didn't feel rushed at all. She started by chatting about what annoys me with my hair, what I like about it and what my typical getting ready routine was. And not only was I able to vent about previous cuts, she actually listened and my final cut reflected EVERYTHING I had said I hoped for. She taught me the whole process of washing and styling to work with the DevaCurl products and even said, "if you forget what to do or have any questions at all, give me a call." Mint truly wants you to love your curly hair and they will teach you how you can. So thankful to have found them.
