I felt like I had the hardest time trusting hairdressers until I found Headtripp. I was able to tell these girls (BOTH OF THEM) exactly what I wanted and they did their thing! Turned out exactly how I wanted it to and not only that, I fell in love with my hair again. I wanted to take care of it and make it an everyday goal to have my curls just bouncy and soft and healthy like when I left. It was so cool to leave there and have my curls look like I got my hair done every day becuase they taught me how to take care of it! Ever since, i got my first haircut from this place, I get asked about my hair. Every . Single. Day. I feel amazing. It’s been 5 years that I’ve been coming here and I’m so sad I’m moving soon. I started embracing my natural hair after growing tired of weaves and braids. I found out about a curly haircut from one of my favorite actresses who had gone to see "The Curl Doctor" Shai Amiel. I immediately wanted my hair cut, but being scared to do so I wanted. I finally got my hair cut in June by Johnny. I have never been one for haircuts, but Johnny brought my hair back to life when I thought I was at a dead end, literally! Since then, my hair has been flourishing and growing so fast that I went back to get another devacut in January. Recently I've just had my hair in a weave and now I'm eagerly waiting to get another Devacut. I never thought getting a haircut could be so exciting and something that would boost my confidence. I HIGHLY recommend this salon, especially if you're in the Philadelphia area, you will not be disappointed!

My 10 year old daughter really disliked her curly hair and was always fighting it. No stylist really took the time to explain to her how to care for and style her hair. Then we found this salon. After learning how to care for her curls, and getting a great haircut from Johnny, she's finally more comfortable with her hair and will wear her hair down and curly.
