Iris was in a rush. She kept on trying to manage the other stylist in the shop and did not pay much attention to what she was doing to my hair. I thought I would at least get a nice head massage, but that did not happen because she was on the phone while washing my hair. She finished my hair and forgot to scrunch out the crunch. I believe every customer deserves the stylist’s attention during consultation and actual cutting. That was not the case at this salon.

I was born with curly hair but throughout the years it's been, bleached, straightened, damaged, spiked, gelled anything but left natural. I finally got fed up with the process and somehow came across Deva Curl. I found a salon close by and had a deva cut, but I wasn't thrilled. Went back to my regular salon and my hair was cut again with a regular cut. It lost the curls I so wanted. So I decided to try another Deva cut, this time at HairXperts with Iris. She looked at the mess my hair was in and assured me that my curls would bounce back again with the right cut. She's magical. Her enthusiasm, her humor and her expertise gave me a fantastic cut. My curls from childhood were back. She took the time with me to go over how I should dry, manipulate and use the Deva Curl products to enhance my hair. Between all her years of experience and her Deva Curl training, she can work miracles. I highly recommend Iris at HairXperts, the woman is amazingly....

After a few struggling days from going to the Salon, I was called by Iris, the young lady who is certified by DevaCurl. She heard of my bad experience and wanted me to give their salon one more shot. I have to say the transformation Iris did on my hair was absolutely AMAZING!!! She did a wonderful job and had a presence around her that really made me comfortable with her handling my curls. Although it was just a little shorter when she was done, I love it! My hair had so much bounce to it and I never thought it was possible to get rid of my frizz. I have the thick, biracial, curly hair and Iris new exactly what do to with it. Call ahead of time and get Iris to cut you hair. She is a miracle worker and I would high suggest you to go to her if you want a nice cut. It is a great family environment and everyone there is so nice and welcoming. Even though she is an Inspired Deva Stylist, she certainly knows her stuff. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new DevaCut and I Love HairExperts

I scheduled an appointment to get my hair cut, and instead of having Iris, who was the one who took the DevaCut course, my hair was cut by Arnold. He bragged about how he worked with Paul Mitchell for years and how good he was. He then proceeded to look at my hair. My hair was fairly styled before hand and it is extremely course. I had finally tamed my natural curls and wanted to get the straight ends cut from the 10 years of heat damage. The first thing I tell him is that I want it to still be long and I only want AT MOST 3 inches and I also didn't like big hair on me. I like it to be tamed. Before he started to cut it... he BRUSHED my hair. He ripped out huge chunks of my hair. He then proceeds to tell me that Iris just came from a course to cut curly hair.... of course I'm thinking "Why isn't she the one cutting my hair?" He has a difficult time brushing through my hair and decides it would be a good idea to wash my hair and get it wet. He does this and puts me back in the chair. He then brushes out my ENTIRE hair. He starts from the top and brushes straight down, instead of starting from the bottom. It looks as if there is not curl pattern any more. He then proceeds to cut it while it's wet. When he is cutting my hair, He is pulling the strands of hair down to cut it. I was trying so hard to fight back my tears because this man had completely butchered my hair. There were curls that were long than others. He didn't even cut the straight ends that I wanted him to take care of. When he was finished, my hair was HUGE. He didn't even cut it into a style and it looked like the shape of a box. After he finished cutting it, he told ME to put the products in my hair. He told me that I knew my hair better than anyone, which was completely wrong. I have struggled with my hair for as long as I can remember because I didn't know how to take care of it. I have the weird mixture of Biracial hair and have never understood how to properly take care of it. When I came into the hair salon my hair was touching my lower back, I came out and it was two inches past my shoulders. Instead of 3 inches, he cut off 8. It was clear to me that he didn't understand how to cut curly hair and instead of informing me, he tried to play it off like he knew what he was doing. I drove an hour away from my house to go to this place and came back in my car and cried 3/4ths of the way home. I do not know if Iris is good to see if you want to cut your curls, but make sure it's by someone who is certified or knows what they are doing.
