I have been an avid follower of DevaCurl for a few months now and was greatly looking forward to this exciting experience of enhancing my curls and learning all about what amazing things I could do with my hair. I had been eagerly awaiting my appointment for a long time, so I was super hyped for the day to come. But my experience couldn't have been more humiliating and disappointing for me. When I told Catie what I would like to achieve from my DevaCut and what kind of hairstyle I wanted, she laughed...I was in complete shock! And what made it even worse was that she told me that I had no curl in my hair, slight waves if any. (Thankfully, everyone else says that I have curls.) I was and have been devastated for a while now after this. I shouldn't have even stayed for the haircut, but I did. She decided to not use any DevaCurl products on my hair, which was a shocker. The ending result was nice, but definitely not what I wanted. The haircut looks good, but she cut it slightly too short for what I wanted. I do appreciate the advice she gave me on my hair type. Overall, not a good experience.

My DevaCut experience with Catherine was amazing! She was able to answer all of my questions about my 3b hair and gave me the results I wanted. The site says she is Level 1 but she actually just finished her Level 2 course. Would absolutely recommend to any curlies in the greater Grand Rapids Area.
