It was my first time at devacurl and I arrived crazy early to my appointment because of it. I did not know much except for the fact that she was working on a day that worked for me. I came in completely lost and not even knowing what my hair texture was. She was extremely patient with me and with the support group of friends that I had brought with me. Not only was a extremely satisfied with the way the cut looks but also with the service she provided to me. She was super sweet and funny and kind. She’s honestly superb. Highly reccomend her and I know I will return.

I had recently gotten a DevaCut with Candace. She was extremely rude in how she spoke to me and barely listened to what I wanted. She never discussed or explained what she was doing with my hair. Simply cut it the way SHE wanted. The girl who washed my hair, however, was very sweet and helped me way more than Candace did. Very upset and disappointed as I was very excited for my appointment after reading all of the reviews on her, especially after spending so much. Never booking with her again.

My daughter for her 11th bday wanted a cut, we traveled to New York scheduled back to back appointments with Candace, she was not friendly at all antisocial. My first daughters hair was amazing, my second daughter she decided to blame my daughters textures hair for the mop haircut and look! My daughter was so sad, I carefully chose this salon because they advertised being able to do many textures curly hair, but that wasn’t our experience. The manager did feel bad and refunded the money but the way they made my 11 year old daughter feel and look cannot be erased. I am disgusted by this salon, will never go back.
