I am a "curly" girl, and Bari Goldin is my guru. She has given my fine curly locks a rockin' cut and my hair has never looked better. Bari really listens to what the client would like to achieve, and will work with the client to achieve those results. She is a master stylist, and a perfectionist. Bari will also show clients how to maintain the style at home using Devacurl products. I can highly recommend her to any "curly" girl who wants her curls to rock! Thank you, Bari!

I saw Bari after the rave reviews and I was not disappointed! She took the time to learn about my lifestyle which I really appreciated. This was my first DevaCut and first major hair cut after a horrible experience of a new hairdresser attempting to layer my hair. I spent years just keeping my hair basically one long length. I wanted to improve definition and lift in. Bari started me on that journey by adding elevation and teaching me how to properly wash and style my curls. I will come back another time to get it even shorter and add more elevation. She said I should get used to it this way and then come back for round 2. I don't think my wallet could handle coming back regularly...I will just have to take many pictures and rely on my trusted and cheaper hairdresser to get me by while I save up for round 2. Overall, very very happy with Bari and I will be back after my wallet recovers lol

While I've completely loved ditching the long and tedious process of straightening my hair, I've never been able to find a curly stylist with both skill AND inspiration enough to give me an edgy/trendy curly cut that worked for my thick hair. I've been disappointed with consistent mediocre results for well over 3 years. And one Deva stylist even told me that since I had curly hair I couldn't really expect to have both style AND curls. Insinuating that style was only for people with straight hair. (Never went back THERE again!) I finally found Bari at Aura and just had my 2nd cut with her this week. FINALLY!! This lovely woman is fabulous, skillful, and talented and I'm so grateful and impressed! Bari is willing to go wherever you want to take your hair. And she will give you honest feedback about your proposal. No one has ever been able to give me a cut that provides volume at the crown until Bari who looked at the wild curly picture I'd brought in as an example and said, "I like it, let's totally do it!" And my second day hair is to die for! I couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning. Every other cut I've ever had leaves me flat-headed on top as the weight of my hair brings all the curl right down on either side of my head. I end up with too much volume at the jaw line and look like a triangle and I've hated it. Bari shaped my curls fantastically well and was willing (what are other stylists so afraid of?) to design the short layers required for volume at the top. Now I can basically refresh a little, shake, and go. I'm so thankful. I've been looking for this cut for over 3 years. I can't wait to see what we'll do in the future!

Bari is amazing! She knows curls; how to cut, style, and care for them. I live in Alaska and I've been embracing my curls for about two years after 35 years of straightening them. I read the curly girl book and used the devacurl products. However I wasn't completely satisfied with the cut. I couldn't find anyone with the experience and training cutting curly hair the "right" way (yes, it is different then any other hair type) Bari was professional and knowledgeable. My cut is perfect and it looks better than ever. She will be my first stop every time I come back!
