After a disastrous razor cut at another salon in 2018, I spent a year trying to let my hair grow out before I found Ashley! She has spent the past year helping me,’with cut and color, getting my curls back to their former happy state. She has been the “doctor“ for my damaged curls, and the help, information, professionalism and suggestions she has given me in the past year, (along with great cut and color), has helped my hair recover! I also appreciate the rest of the friendly staff, and the feeling that we curly girls and boys are all very much in this together! I love this place, I don’t know how it escaped my radar for so long! Ashley is awesome, sweet and friendly and a great listener, and always knows how to translate my requests into reality.

I had a very good experience at Cala Renee, I left the salon very happy with my hair cut. Ashley was my stylist, she is very knowledgeable about curly hair and spent time explaining to me how to keep my hair from drying out and how to use the products and how to dry my hair in a way to get the best curl definition. She did not pressure me to buying products, only gave me samples, that was always something that turned me off from hair salons ( pressuring to buy products). I will definitely go back and I would recommend Cala Renee to anybody with curly hair. Oh and Lucas who washed my hair was also very nice and welcoming, great head massage after the wash, I felt that he too was very knowledgeable about curly hair techniques.

I was a little worried about getting my very curly hair cut. As you curly girls no 1" = 4" when it comes to cutting curly hair. They actually know that at Cala Renee and are very careful to be sure you just get a nice style from your cut, not a shearing. I'm really happy that I finally found a place for hair care that really understands the curly girl.
