I have been getting Devacuts with Amanda Payne for about 2 years now. NEVER has a hair stylist understood my hair before Amanda. I was used to straight, dry cuts & at times having my hair blown out to a burnt crisp. Amanda knows curls AND is truly passionate about them. She explains & walks you through the entire process & always shares super helpful tips & tricks for you to try at home during your next wash. I came to Amanda for the first time as someone who straightened often, liked my curls but wasn’t fully in love. After my first cut with Amanda i have not picked up a flat iron once! 2 years blow out & flat iron free & truly head over heels with my hair in its natural state. I have to give Amanda some credit, she definitely played a major role in helping me get here. I have been getting my hair cut by Amanda for the last 14 years. She identified my curls back before I knew there were stylists who specialize in curls. I love what she does so much I have not gone to anyone else since (even when it meant I had to go a year between cuts). She is always warm, welcoming, and receptive to your ideas and wants while also being honest and realistic about what your hair needs. Her rates are not low, but they are absolutely worth it for the skill, passion, and dedication she brings to her work. I happily travel 1 hr to get my hair done because I know I will come out loving it every time.
