I’ve been getting Deva cuts for about two years. I used to go to a salon in DC, but I live/work in LoCo now. I was a bit anxious about trying a new place, but my cut by Jhovanna (owner) was great! She listened to what I wanted and appreciated that I brought photos. We agreed on some recommendations she made and she was meticulous about cutting my dry curls. Her cut made my curls much more styled and bouncy and was exactly what I wanted. She’s very nice too, but not overly chatty. Another thing I appreciated was that she didn’t wash my hair after the cut which the other salon did. Since you need to come in with freshly washed and styled hair, washing after the cut is very drying and unnecessary, in my opinion. Just an FYI, there’s an earlier review for stylist Alexa at this salon, but I was told she’s no longer there. I would highly recommend Jhovanna!
