great lengths hair salon

I know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but when I saw Paula with her bone straight hair I was a little nervous. Then she started cutting and I was amazed. She has given me the best DevaCut I have ever had. She listened and asked before she made any big cuts until she knew I was comfortable. I highly recommend Paula.

After researching and working the process of the Curly Grrrl Method for a month and a half on my own, I decided to treat myself to some tailored education in hopes of learning more about my specific 3a /3b fine hair. Very disappointing for me, my attempts at asking questions were rebuffed with general response...so I decided to sit , relax, and just enjoy the time (I had not been to a salon in more than a decade, I've always cared for my own hair). After heated (!) drying I was already alarmed, but when the final crunch was scrunched, I was horrified. My ringlets were replaced with stringy, limp, sad waves! I felt like I looked like a straight haired person who got a lame perm. My hair looked exhausted and had absolutely no personality. After $70, I felt I had wasted so much money and time. I would give 1 star review, except I did learn something valuable... I learned the process I had been using before was actually on the right track for me. I also need to note the further dismay I feel after reading other reviews for this salon on this website. Truly disgusting to ignore the full spectrum of curlies, all people deserve to pamper themselves and feel empowered to care for their unique hairs. I truly pray this salon has built a more diverse team that can better serve all people of the Memphis community.
