I stopped straightening my hair about a year ago but struggled to control my natural curls. Teresa gave me the perfect cut to bring out my natural curls and I love it! It's easy to maintain with the devacurl products and Teresa is very helpful with tips and advice. I'm African American so I was a little skeptical going to a non-African American stylists but I am very happy. My friends and family say I look years younger and I have to agree.

I finally found a stylist that really understands curly hair. I am so grateful to of found Teresa. She gave me the best haircut and really took the time to educate me on how to style and use the appropriate products best for my hair.

This is nothing against the hairdresser Teresa. She was a delight and wonderful and really cares for her client but I think she was taught to follow this method that I see all over the internet now by the brand. This rating is more so for the Devacut method. So much product was left it my hair that it gave the illusion that this magical $80 brought my curls back. They had no choice since they were glued with gel to stay in place. I also asked for something specific but did not get that cut. She did offer to do it for free if I didn’t like how it was actually cut. I don’t understand why it just couldn’t be done right then and there? The next day my hair was flat and sticky and caked with gel and conditioner.. When I washed it myself with pounds less of product the cut looked pretty terrible. I ended up fixing it myself. So I paid $100 with tip money just to cut my own hair. I am not the type to ever ask for a refund but I am disappointed. Deva needs to change their method, not every hair type does well with such heavy product application. My curls look better with almost no product. Lesson learned.
