When I began my healthy hair journey I thought having frizzy hair was just something I was going to have to accept. Then I found Bree and she has made me absolutely love my curls. I grew up so ashamed of my curls and now I actually embrace them and get compliments. I trusted Bree and the process of removing my damaged hair and using new products I was skeptical about. I’ll be honest I was very nervous she wouldn’t know what to do with my nappy multicultural hair ;) but she absolutely did! Thank you so so much Bree. You have no idea the amount of confidence you have given me.
Please Note! Bree has changed locations!
Bree is really good! I drove 2 hours for her to do my hair. Very knowledgeable & not at all pushy with available products. However, The Deva Curl site REALLY needs to update her location. She is now located at 1405 Metro Dr., Suite J3 in Alexandria, LA
Bree is my fave!
Bree has been cutting my hair for two years now, when I moved to this area. She helps me keep my curly hair in check! She is very flexible with my schedule and always helps me leave with the look that I want.
Attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet
Found Bree several years ago through a friend of mine. She's helped me transform my curls, learn how to use the right products, and what cuts are best for my thin curly hair. She's a pleasure to work with and always listens before advising or cutting my hair. I've recommended her to several people and they're always happy with her.
In Louisiana weather, its hard with any hair type, much less curly/wavy hair that is thick as all heck. Bree was AMAAZING, and went step by step through everything. Analyzing my curls, washing, drying, styling. Products (and amounts) along the way. Customer for life!!
Sad and Disappointed
I cannot begin to describe how sad and disappointed I am with my hair after visiting Bree at Ciao Bella Salon in Alexandria Louisiana. I was happy with my hair when I sat in her chair yesterday. However, I was frustrated by the crown of my hair because it is a looser texture than the back and bottom parts of my hair. I just needed the crown cut so that it did not hang over the back of my hair when I wore a wash and go and I needed a trim. That was it. I begged her not to cut off all of my hair, but that is exactly what she did. When I left her shop, I was so hurt and angry because it seems to me that she had nonchalantly cut off a year of my growth and in some places, a year and a half. I trusted her because she was supposed to be a “deva stylist”. Instead, I found out too late that she does not appear to have any idea of how to style a texture that is kinky or very, very coily. My hair looks horrible and I am back to year one growth when I have been natural for two years. It is uneven in sections, one side is longer than the other, and the top still hangs over the back because she cut the sides and back so short! I can’t even look at it without getting upset. I am going to have to resign myself to wearing it pulled back and hidden until I can figure out what to do with it. I am so sad and angry because I feel that I have been duped. I think that she has misrepresented her expertise in working with kinkier textures. She could not even define my curls after she washed it, when I do it every day with Deva curl products! If you have tight coils or a kinkier texture, then I think that you should save yourself the heartache that I am experiencing now and either find another stylist or cut your hair yourself. I have learned a very painful lesson and I will remember it for the year and a half that it takes to grow out the havoc that I think that she has inflicted on my once beautiful hair—do not trust anyone in your hair. Learn to do it yourself. Period. Sad and disappointed.
Loving my curls
I'm a 40+ black female with mixed curly hair.I say a little 3B, 3C& 4A. I found Bree by browsing your site and baby! I'm so happy to have found her! She has not only helped to shape my hair, but taught me how to apply Deva products and create curls I never could do on my own. She recently used the new Supercream coconut costyler. That stuff is "da bomb". Made my curls spirally, soft and moisturized and they lasted a long time!. Bree is an awesome stylist who knows how make my curls "pop". I'm glad y'all trained her and I'm so thankful to have found her.
