I got my first devacut about 2.5 years ago now when I heard about it from my sister. In Tallahassee at the time there was only one salon that offered these specific cuts for curly girls like me so I made my first appointment. Valerie talked me through the entire process before she ever even started cutting my hair. We talked about what was best for my bone structure and hair type, she listened and advised me so that we could get the perfect cut. It’s been 2.5 years and I have moved to Jacksonville, Florida but I still drive to Tallahassee just to get my hair cut by Valerie. She is so amazing and very personable. She takes the time to not only get to know you but to get to know your hair as well. My hair has never looked so good and I owe it all to her and her techniques. If you’re looking for a hairstylist who’s friendly, and knowledgeable about curls I definitely recommend Valerie.
