I had a wonderful experience with Lisa! I haven’t gotten a haircut since I’ve moved to Los Angeles, so it’s kind of scary going to a new salon where the stylist could cut your hair and you end up hating it or they just don’t listen to anything you say and do it completely wrong. So, naturally, I was a little nervous. I wanted to make sure I chose someone with good reviews and good qualifications, so I looked on the Devacurl website for the most certified curly hair stylists and she was on there as a “Deva Certified Stylist” which is the highest level of education for the Devacurl program. I reached out to a couple of different stylists and she seemed the most affordable and friendliest. She ended up honoring the lowest price on her website, even before seeing my hair in person, which I thought was very kind! So she won with me that, and I can say that I had such a great experience! Her salon is very clean and nicely decorated. She is super friendly and explained every step she was doing so I could repeat it a home. She talked about her clients often, so I could tell she had a good longstanding relationship with many of them, so that was also a good sign. Another thing I really loved was that she told me about all the products she was using, but never once did she try to persuade me to buy any of them from her. I have been to other salons and it seems like they care more about making more money than the happiness of the client, and she did not do that at all! I wanted a little fringe/bang but I was a little worried it would come out too short, so she made sure to cut it a little longer than I suggested, just in case, because after washing my hair my curls would shrink. That made me feel a lot better and it came out looking great! Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience and felt very comfortable and catered while I was there. I’m already planning on coming back in 4 months (which she recommended) for another hair cut to keep my hair healthy. Thank you so much, Lisa!

Lisa is one of the most attentive and caring stylists I have ever had! She goes through your hair patiently and takes the time to discuss her observations. Her salon is warm and inviting, and she is easy to talk to. She not only gives great advice on how to maintain your hair, she also shares methods on how to take care of your overall health which makes up a great deal of your hair's health. My curls have never felt or looked better!
