I’ve had my hair cut twice here and I’m happy. It doesn’t bother me the place is not modern. I’m going back 👍
Great experience... Thank you Ammy
I had a deva cut and highlights with Ammy. She did an excellent job and I am so pleased with her. I went on Saturday for highlights and I was not too pleased with the results as I wanted it lighter. I texted her the same day and she took me in on Tuesday and did it again without any charge and it is beautiful. I am so happy!!! My hair looks more full after the cut and she was very nice to show me what deva products she uses and how to put the products for great volume. It is not the fanciest parlor but then it is most affordable and amazing results. Thanks Ammy!
The girl that did my hair didn’t have time for me. It was that plain and simple. About the Salon: I walked in and she had two ladies in the chair and since I was desperate for a hair cut, I stayed. The stylist’s name was Amy and not Julie, it’s her mother’s salon. It was a bit run down and un organized. I don’t mind if the service is good. However one of the things that really bothered me was her towels - all stained and gross looking. Just made the place seem all the more worse then it’s location and atmosphere. The Cut: Okay so the cut was okay - she cut it dry and then washed me up and sat me to dry. Absolutely no questions about how I wear my hair or any education on the type of curl I have or how I could take better care of it or anything. I told her I had never had a devacut before. She only asked me if I had seen some of the deva curl videos on line and I said no - but I mean I had seen one or two and thought you know what I’ll go give this a try. Cost: It cost me $48 for the sake of rounding. I drove all the way from Burnaby to get this done and because I live in Maple Ridge only to realize I could have gone to a salon in Burnaby my bad - wasn’t thinking. Anyway I tipped her $4 but seriously don’t even feel like I should have. Conclusion: Amy is pleasant but seriously needs to up her customer service skills and needs to get herself organized- she mentioned she had gone to Vegas for something but even then it’s her business so she should take ownership of it and make her client comfortable and if she’s charging $45 for a hair cut - make it worth it. Don’t over book yourself! And her new towels!!!
Won’t go back
My stylist was very nice and taught me some methods for styling, however she did a wet cut and thinned my ends. I left with wet hair and it was more frizzy then I had gone there with. I feel like I need another cut already.
