The women at Awaken are wonderful, kind people, who know how to cut curly hair! The atmosphere is laid-back (but still professional), and I never felt uncomfortable or awkward (which, as someone who frequently feels both of those things, is a feat). Crystal has given me my favorite hair cuts of my life, that look great immediately, are (relatively -- my hair is still curly) easy to style, and don't look funny as they grow out. When I've been, I've found everyone listens really well, and is super courteous and respectful. I'm not one to tell other people to go to this store or that store, but I have talked a few of my curly friends into going to this salon because they have changed my life. Getting a hair cut isn't playing russian roulette anymore, and I don't feel self-conscious about my hair. I cannot imagine a better experience, and I am so grateful to these ladies.
