.....and I have done so on at least 3 occasions, just to have Amina cut my hair. I was a regular client for many years before I retired to the Pacific N’West and I have found no one out here that can “read” my curls the way she can! An amazing woman with a talent for knowing what my hair needs! I’m on my way back again!! Thank you, Amina!

Went here last April for a first time Deva Cut and chose Amina because if all of the amazing reviews.Another stylist checked me in and told me Amina would be with me in a moment. 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I am still waiting and I over hear the stylist that checked me in saying to another stylist why hasn't Amina come out to the front yet for her appointment?! Right then and there I should have just taken that as an omen and left. But I wanted to try this cut and read amazing things about her I proceeded. She finally came out and we discussed my hair and what I wanted. She did the dry cut but was pulling and raking my hair so much with her fingers that it broke all of my curls pattern and defeated the purpose of the dry cut to begin with. Also, the amount of finger raking she was doing was constantly pulling at my scalp and began to give me a terrible headache. We went to the shampoo bowl and again, more pulling and tugging at my hair. I have had a better shampoo and deal condition treatment and handling of my hair at a Hair Cuttery. Once finished I sat back in the chair and she made me flip my head over and started dousing my hair with Deva Curl products and again raking the product. There were still so many tangles in my hair from the poor washing and conditioning treatment that I literally started to tear up from the pain of her aggressively pulling through my hair. She put a hood on my head and there was so much product and water still in my hair that as I was sitting it was running down my face into my eyes. She also did not put any clips in the roots of the top of my hair to help with volume during the dry. I have thick curly hair almost down to my rear and it was in long layers, this step is a must. She went to work with another client and another stylist came to take the diffuser to the bottom of my hair after the hood came off. 4 1/2 hours, $150 and a migraine later you could not even tell I had gotten a hair cut. I had told so many coworkers how excited I was to go and all about the great reviews and when I got to work the next day, even they came up to me and said, Wait? I thought you were getting your hair cut?! I work in a medical office with 45 other women and most agreed with me that my hair looked no different than usual. I don't know if she was having a bad day at work but I would never recommend Amina to anyone. There were plenty of other great Deva curl cuts I witnessed while I was there, unfortunately, I clearly picked the wrong stylist.

I have traveled all over to find someone to cut my curls correctly and finally my search has ended! From the moment i entered this salon i knew i made an excellent choice.The previous reviews i read about one of their curl experts "Amina" was exactly right, she is a master of curls. I highly recommend her and agree with the other reviewers . She's the best in the entire Philadelphia and the surrounding area!
