This was my first Devacut and as stated above, the best hair experience of my life. Jessica took the time to really learn about my hair then she taught me how to take care of my hair (and style it). She was kind, funny and so smart! Trying to budget a regular trip to Portland.

I am 28 years old and mixed race with cork screw type curls. My hair is long (middle back) and medium density but very fine. I've always dreaded going to the salon and had nightmare hair cuts, bleach baths and stripy highlights. I had my hair dyed by Jessica around 6 weeks ago and i love it! It was caramel and blonde and blended really well it looked so natural. She listened to everything I wanted and was educating me about my hair, answering any questions I had...and she knows what she's talking about. She's the only hair dresser who knew my hair was delicate and fine while others get overwhelmed by the curls and think it's thick. She also gave me a Plex treatment which was night and day. My hair didn't matt, it had Great bounce and looked healthy (it lasted for about 3-4 weeks). Also... apparently coconut oil is not good for the hair and seals it so moisture can't get in...🤷 Who knew?!? So I would recommend Jessica to anyone who has curls and also anyone who just wants a hairdresser who takes pride in her work, knows her stuff and will actually listen to you!! If you're unsure hit her up and get a consultation ASAP!

I've only gotten two cuts from Jessica so far -- but one was enough to tell me that she's my absolute go-to from here on out. The salon is a very open, welcoming space, kept super clean and with a full stock of great product and equipment, and frankly, I could absolutely say the same of the stylist herself. She knows her stuff! I have, for years, been afraid to get my curly girls cut any shorter than my jaw, but she found (of the many references I had randomly selected) the perfect cut that's within my maintenance desires, and that just looks great! Every moment in her chair is one spent comfortably and confidently, because Jessica is not only skilled at her craft, but she goes the extra mile to make sure that you know how to replicate the care she gives your curls! I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone with curls who wants to truly rock them.
