Excellent experience with Nicole
I had been driving to Jacksonville for the last 2 years for a Devacut but when my stylist went out for an extended maternity leave I decided to look closer to home. The salons in Savannah had long waits but I was able to get in quicker at Nexx Faze. I was a little nervous bc of the previous generic reviews but when I called I was told Nicole had a lot of experience so I took a chance and made an appointment with her. My experience with her was great! She has been a Deva stylist for several years, first working in Atlanta. She was trained by Lorraine Massey (Deva founder) and apprenticed under Robin Sjoblom from Southern Curl in Atl who I already followed on Instagram. Her education is top notch and she is passionate about curls and teaching you how to take care of them. I was grown out on my Devacut but she got me back into great shape and I won’t be going to Jax anymore. Not sure about the other Deva certified stylists at Nexx Faze but I highly recommend Nicole!
made an appointment to make sure there was enough time to work on my hair. My stylist was 35 mins late and did not even apologize for her tardiness. We start talking about what I wanted and very shortly into our conversation I told her I would think about it and left. Cry all the way home. Have never felt unwanted like that before. I'll just keep looking.
Friendly, but the search continues in Savannah Area
Was here a few months ago. Hate leaving bad reviews but things are getting desperate at this point. Moved to Savannah in 2011 and have yet to be happy with a salon experience (and I've only been wearing my hair curly for the past year). My results from this place was harsh highlights/lowlights, and a shorter cut than I wanted. She did offer to correct the problem, but I had no time in my schedule for another lengthy visit. I may try my luck in Charleston or Atlanta next, or opt for a lo-maintenance look that I can color and even cut myself. It's that bad out there.
