I found this salon thru the DevaCurl website and was excited to find someone locally who was trained to do curly/dry cuts. I have had many devacuts before at other salons and loved the end result. I spent all morning making sure my hair was dried perfectly for a great cut, only to have the stylist (Donnie) brush it out and "recommend" I do a normal haircut. I didn't feel like I really had a choice at that point since my hair was already frizzy and all over the place, so I did a normal wet haircut. I tried to explain to him that my hair dries curlier on top and straighter underneath, but he blamed it on the cut and didn't listen. The end result is I'm now left with curls that dry in two distinct layers and will be straightening my hair until it grows out. He did a wonderful normal haircut and if i had naturally straight hair I wouldn't be here leaving this review. But I had purposefully come here to get a devacurl cut and i felt like he didn't listen to my wishes. To top it off, he shamed me at the end of the appointment for not purchasing devacurl products at their salon (which I'm guessing means he gets commission). Not a positive experience overall and I would recommend my fellow curly friends go elsewhere...
