Although I’m sure that he is a very talented stylist, my experience with him was absolutely horrible. He only asked me a few questions about what I thought my hair was like but ignored my responses. He decided to just start cutting, labeling my hair 'wavy' as it was my first time getting a Devacut. I can say that it was not completely his fault as my hair has been growing out for about a year before I went. My hair was extremely damaged from bleaching it platinum in one session and my curl pattern had pretty much been destroyed after straightening it constantly for a few months before that. He brushed my hair out before cutting it, which was a huge red flag but I decided against it because I thought it would be best to just let him do his process. He took me to the hair washing and styling station and introduced me to the 'Low-Poo shampoo for Wavy hair'. Immediately I felt like jumping out of that seat and running towards the exit, but I decided against it because, once again, I thought it would be best to let him do his thing. Boy do I regret that. I couldn't see much but I knew he was scrunching my hair so I was hoping it would bounce into its natural 3a state by that point. He took me back to my chair and when I looked in the mirror I was mortified. My hair was extremely undefined even after using the gel, I did my best to stay calm, praying that it would be better when it was dried. During the drying process he had burnt my neck a few times while he was leaning the diffuser against my scalp, whenever I tried to lean away he would just push it closer. When I looked into the mirror I nearly started sobbing in horror at the end result. Luckily I was able to hold it in long enough to get the before and after pictures and run out of the salon. The moment I got in the vehicle, I started sobbing and crying hysterically. My 2c-3a curl pattern had been reduced to a 2b pattern. Maybe my expectations were too high but the haircut I got made me look twice my age and the next time I washed my hair with my Curly products my hair sprung to life but with the haircut I had it just looked like a rats nest and I cried for a week after. I couldn't do much at the time but now, about, 3 months later, my hair has grown about 2-3 inches and is looking better than it ever has with the exception of random scattered 3b hair and wild curls just sticking up with the Wavy haircut. I definitely won't ever be coming back and won't ever plan to. The whole experience seemed extremely rushed so I hope your experience turns out much better than mine did.
