I wrote earlier about how I was a mushy mess after my visit with Hannah as I was over-moisturized. I piled on the protein conditioner for a few weeks and slowly my hair started to go back into shape. I think it may have been leaving some of the One-C as a leave-in. My hair is particular and I struggle (especially in the summer...I never could find the right combo that works). I finally am back to shape and actually have found the right combo of product and conditioner. My hair is everything Hannah said it would be. My hair always leaned towards the straighter side in the back...and now...it\'s curling. It\'s like my hair (with the right product combo) has become a whole new entity for me. I\'ve had numerous compliments on my hair in the last few weeks. Yes, I\'ve done Deva cuts since 2007, but as most curlies know, it can be a lot of work finding the perfect product combo. And now that my hair has come back to life, I even dare say this is probably the best Deva cut I\'ve had. Thank you, Hannah!

I\'ve been CG since 2007 and have been getting Deva cuts since 2009. Never in my ENTIRE experience have I had a haircut that I couldn\'t deal with and then...then.... i decided to try Hannah because we were going to be in the area. Hannah has this shiny high level of training. You don\'t think you can go wrong, right? Wrong. First of all, she is by-the-Deva-Book-PERIOD. She had the audacity to even tell me that other Deva stylists "adjust" their training inferring these stylists are wrong (rather than tailor to the hair type and needs). I am a BIG believer in Deva and their concept, HOWEVER, hair is different from person to person. Hannah piled on the B\'Leave In after leaving actual conditioner in my hair. Holy hell. Was I a basket of MUSHY mess the next day. Yes, Deva, it IS possible to be over-moisturized. Is there a product from them that helps this issue?? I haven\'t seen any. Hannah\'s answer is, "well, I can give you the steps again" and "I can\'t recommend anything outside of Deva" (which I didn\'t ask her to but I suggested I needed protein). She didn\'t offer to have me go back in to help me or anything. Very poor customer service. So her answer to my mess was to keep on moisturizing. What a nightmare. Trying it HER way (loading the Bleave In and condish), my hair was full of this waxy feel and my hair wouldn\'t budge. She claims my hair "drinks up the moisture", but no, it has a tendency to sit there. I am low in the porosity area. There was no flowy feel at all. Even after ACV and protein treatments, my hair still looks like warped shingles on a house (think a redneck in the 80s with high hair on top and hair stuck to the sides of your head) even when I do it *MY* way. My double helix curls are GONE. And as a person who reviewed on the 12th stated, the layers. I didn\'t realize what Hannah was doing until she mentioned she was going to put more layers in. One of my first red flags, though, was when it appeared, when cutting, she was holding hair in between her middle and pointing finger CUTTING like it was a straight-line cut. I am not the expert so I can\'t say for sure, but in my previous experiences elsewhere, my curls were, literally, picked up one by one to be cut. She did my hair and I looked like a poodle, but as I know, that doesn\'t always mean the cut sucks. If the cut is still good, I can go home and do it my way and it is wonderful. Not here. Not this time. AG:Re:Coil helped to get some curl back, but that is where it ends. No shape..just a flop mess. And..BTW..yes, you SHOULD take into consideration of others\' experience. Not all positive reviews are legit..some are staged. Just sayin\'. Now I get to wear a barrette in my hair until this crap grows out some so it can be fixed. OH...and I would get a price tag BEFORE you go in. I told her via text that I don\'t need the "education" part as I have been doing this for almost 10 years yet, her bill at the end was that of a new client with the entire schooling. JUST BEWARE AHEAD OF TIME.

Hannah seriously saved my curls. She brought them back to life and has been so helpful with explaining the techniques she uses so I can recreate my fabulous hair style at home. My only regret is not having found her sooner!

OMG. Hannah is AMAZING! I drove two hours each way for this Deva cut! Never in my entire life have I walked away from a hair cut and style feeling so happy! This 90 minute appointment was ABSOLUTELY worth the 4 hour round trip drive to see her! She really knows her stuff when it comes to curly hair! She showed me how to get the most out of my curls and she is the only person to ever recognize that my hair is actually curly and not just wavy! I will NEVER go back to allowing anyone else to cut OR color my curly hair! 100% worth the drive and money to finally have someone cut my hair right! Thank you Hannah! You are SO GOOD at what you do! I would encourage everyone to make the trip to go see her, you won\'t regret it!
