I originally. Intended to do this review the weekend that I had gotten my haircut but life got in the way and I have been able to maintain my lovely locks since my haircut. After many many years of straightening my hair and using products that were wrong, I went to see Kristy to have a no poo transition and to coax the natural waves I had when I was a girl. I am also growing out my hair for my wedding to make it easier to style. Kristy was able to do a styled dry cut as well as guide me through the steps to maintain my hair After three weeks, My fine hair is now bouncy, soft and the waves are now more pronounced. My hair is feeling healthier too. I\'ve since referred many of my curly-haired friends to this salon for the Deva experience

Thank you !!!

I haven\'t gotten my hair cut since I was 9 -- I am now almost 26. I came across this salon and felt comfortable that they would know how to work with my hair type being that they specialize IN ALL CURLY TEXTURED HAIR TYPES. When I sat in the chair I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted and she told me that this style was doable for my hair. I SPECIFICALLY told her that I did not want length taken off - just boxy layers. My hair in it\'s natural curly state hit right below my bra line. What I left with was a round layered fro that hits ABOVE MY SHOULDERS. In the midst of my haircut the manager of the salon walked over and began playing with my hair and asked to see my inspiration picture - I showed her and she made a comment to the stylist and then walked away. I hate my hair now and I have absolutely no idea how to style it. This is why I do not get my haircut. I called Monday to speak to someone and try to get a refund on the 55$ haircut. The stylist could keep the tip and
intend of keeping my retail I purchased but, I don\'t feel I should pay for something I did not want. I called Monday but the salon is closed so I followed up on Tuesday. I explained to the person I spoke with what had happened and how upset I was and that I did not trust to have anyone touch my hair again and they advised me that someone would be calling me the following day. It is now the following day, end of workday, far outside of the timeframe we spoke on and I am very disappointed in this salon. If I do not receive a call tonight I will be following up with them in the morning.

I\'ve been looking for a Devachan salon for years. While on business in Minneapolis, I scheduled an appointment with Megan. She was fabulous! I finally knew I was in a space where people knew what to do with my hair. The cut was fantastic and her tips and advice were invaluable. She explained what she was doing and gave me pointers on how to care for my curls at home. I was nervous about the comments about online scheduling, so I called to confirm--there were no issues. I live 6.5 hours from Minneapolis and will most certainly be going back--even if only once a year for a great cut!

A little disappointed

I live in a rural area, so I traveled over 3 hours to attend a deva curl salon. I was told the appointment could take as long as 90 minutes which I was ok with because I wanted someone to take time with me and help me figure out how to deal with my hair. When I left, I was ok with my hair, it wasn\'t the amazing experience I had hoped for. My appointment took less than an hour including waiting time and paying. I wasn\'t encouraged to buy any deva curl products and the stylist used a diffuser on my hair but not even the deva curl diffuser, it looked like the one I have at home that came from Walmart. I know this sounds like a lot of whining, but when you pay $80 for a haircut, you expect a little more than an average experience. I\'ve had a much better experience at a salon where I only paid $30.
Sorry!
