My hair looked HORRIBLE!

I have hair that\'s somewhere between wavy and curly. The cut was awful- I have these random blunted pieces.. Also, Kelly\'s styling was atrocious for my hair- weighed it down and made it look revolting. I think if your hair is extremely curly/kinky this cut/styling works but it definitely doesn\'t for my kind of hair. Curly hair isn\'t one size fit all, regardless of what Kelly thinks.

Worth it

After trying my first Deva Cut at a salon in Warrendale in February I left feeling unhappy and not confident with the deva cut I got. So I took the recommendation of my friend who goes to Kelly and took the plunge. It was pricy and a 40-45 minute drive for me but it was well worth it! I had my appointment with Victoria in Mid May and she helped me through learning I was using too many products and still using some products that had silacones (the safe ones) but none the less still silicones. She also taught me how to use less product and achieve a better result. Victoria cut my hair beautifully and when I walked out I felt very good. I switched to the recommended innersense products which I love and my hair is looking amazing. Also Kelly and Victoria are always there to help you through the journey. I\'m looking forward to my next appointment next week!

I never thought my hair could look like this!

I\'ve recently decided to embrace my curls and make the change in styling my hair. Until I met Kelly I truly thought I would just have to live with unruly and messy curls/ waves. Not so anymore! Kelly talked to me about my hair, lifestyle, current products, and my expectations. Then she walked me step by step through styling and what products I should be using, and how to apply them for my best curl. I\'m not going to lie, I was scared the next day to do it myself but I did exactly what she showed me and my curls are amazing! Great shape, no frizz, perfect!! Thanks Kelly, I\'ve never been able to do this without your lesson!

I expected more for the price.
Pros: Taught me 2 things I didn\'t know about caring for/styling for curly hair.
Cons: Price--i thought very expensive for a curl lesson. Was surprised I wasn\'t asked questions about my hair--what products, how I style it etc.
Time spent- I thought it would be more of a one-to-one time, meaning for the price I paid was expecting the stylist to JUST work with me. Another client was worked one the same time
pets--there are two pets there- very well behaved but don\'t think its very sanitary anyway to have pets in a salon. I do love pets too......
I just expected more and the drive was very lengthy. The products chosen for my hair made my hair look greasy. I have learned from this experience that I like my hair straight, its much less work. I do not plan on returning as I will be wearing my hair straight 50-80% of the time and if I do choose to go curly, i have the knowledge base already gained from online curly hair sites and youtube.com
