I've seen Michelle twice now-- and she's been a great support for my transition to curly girl. My hair has gradually become more and more curly to the point where this past summer I had to admit that at age 46 I had an entire head of curly hair-- and I have three types of curly hair- It's been changing slowly for the past 18 years since I had my first child. I had to drive an hour and 20 minutes- and I had the choice of at least 18 deva certified stylists once I figured out I had to drive anyway. I chose Michelle because her website explained that her goal as a stylist is to stay educated- and to help get to know her clients personally and educate you about your hair and available products-- and that she does- my first hair cut she spent almost 3 hours with me- cutting my hair, washing, using the deva curl products and teaching me techniques to enhance my curls- and making me feel my hair with the product on. Showing me how to use a microfiber towel to help dry- teaching me not to touch my hair without product on my hands to avoid frizz. She encouraged me to start small, sent me home with samples- and great curls! I had my second appointment last week- and this appointment was closer to an hour and half. This time she cut my hair- helped the shape be re-created- and had me try devacurl gel, as well as showed a new technique to dry my hair with a diffuser. If you are debating trying a devacut- try Michelle- she's so attentive, helpful, and realistic- and she teaches you what to do with your hair- as long as cut your hair beautifully.

I found Michelle through the stylist finder when I decided I needed some help with my curls. While I initially chose her because she is two blocks from my home, I stayed because Michelle does a fantastic job! She walked me through the DevaCurl process and cut my hair to help my curls look their best.
