Lynn was a very nice stylist and she did a great job of maintaining conversation and establishing a great rapport with me as a customer. However, I came to this salon for a deva cut as advertised by her salon and devacurl.com, and what I received was far from that. While she did cut my hair dry in the beginning (thank God), what happened next was far off the deva curl playbook. After washing my hair with deva curl product she applied the conditioner and did not rake through my hair to encourage my curl families as the deva curl method teaches. She went on to completely rinse out all of my conditioner and squeeze all the excess moisture out of my hair. She then had me sit up, and walk back over to the cutting chair without applying any gel. Once in the chair she combed through all of my hair and started trimming my hair while it was wet and no where near in the curl families. After she finished trimming, she applied gel and attempted to scrunch my hair up into curls. She then proceeded to blow dry my hair, further separating my curl families with her hands as she went. The finished product was a curl-less frizz ball that I had to go straight home and rewash/style. Incredibly nice woman and very clean salon, would be great for other cuts, but needless to say I will not be going back for a deva cut, as that is not what she does.
