I started my curly girl journey only about a month ago and I was really struggling. I was about to give in and go back to using a curling iron when I decided as a last ditch effort, I would get a Devacut and see if it could help. Haley was wonderful! Not only was the cut truly the best I have ever had, but she also helped me to chose the proper products for my wavy hair and even showed me how to use them. I couldn't be happier with the result. If you're on the fence, just go for it. Haley really knows what she is doing and will help tame those wayward waves!

I had Haley give me a Devacut--she did cut my hair dry and she explained what she was going to do well. She didn't go through and cut curl by curl as I've seen other stylists do in videos. I didn't find that that meant I got a bad cut--it does fall really well, and I'm happy with it. I'd be interested to see if there's a difference with my hair cut "curl by curl." She works fast and efficiently. That said, while she followed the Deva styling method and used their products, I didn't feel like she understood how to use a diffuser very well, and I ended up with my curls blown out a lot straighter than usual and my hair was really frizzy when I left. I had hoped to feel like my stylist really knew how to deal with curls--she has curly hair, herself--but instead it felt a lot like every other salon experience, where I have to go home and restyle my hair so I'm ok going out in public. The cut looks nice, though.
