Your curls need to be nursed back to health, go see Ginger. She’s been my curl master since my first haircut here in SF for over 10 years! I have fine, longer, ringletty hair which I unfortunately love to brush, and wear up. But Ginger always keeps me in line with how I treat my hair in between my appointments with her, and gives my hair all the therapy it needs while I’m at the salon. Revive your curls! Get Gingerized!

I’ve been seeing Ginger since the early 2000s and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. I am more of a swavey lady rather than a super curly gal, but use deva curl products and had spent years looking for a person who could give my hair shape, texture and some edge. I’m always complemented on my hair cut and asked who I go to. Bay Area folks are lucky, but New Yorkers, Portlandians and Los Angelenos where I often travel and ask about aren’t as lucky. I have even had the client seated next to me say to the neighboring stylist ‘I want her cut’, which makes me walk out with even more pep in my step. And to boot, Gingers’s also a great hairapist! You got some romantic woes to sort out while she’s rocking out her skillful scissor work, she’s your lady! I always tell her she should start making some ‘#GetGingerized’ tees!

I used to be terrified to get a haircut and have someone butcher my curls. I saw a write-up on Ginger presenting her as a local curl-savvy stylist and had to go see her. That was maybe eight years ago, and she's still my go-to for regular hair care and emergencies. She's inspired me to take my hair in directions I never would have dared at the start. Can't recommend her enough!
